Shabbat Dinner & Home Gatherings

We've been hearing again and again that you want more Malkhut, and chances to create deeper connections with others in the community. This February and March, we'll be piloting a series of Shabbat gatherings in people's homes and looking for folks (mostly in Astoria) who'd like to host. These gatherings can be as simple or elaborate as you’d like to make them. We’d love to see neighbors get together on Friday evenings, during the day on Saturdays, and on Saturday evening for Havdalah. You can plan a full meal or just kiddush and challah. Incorporate study and more prayer or just spend time talking. We’d like for all of these gatherings to have a bit of “Malkhut flavor.” Rabbi G. will provide materials and support, but you don’t need any special training or expertise to host. What we’re looking for most are people who’d like to spend Shabbat with others in the community. Interested in hosting? Please email us.
