Nadya will tell the story of Shavuot (the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai). And then parents and kids will make Labane together. Labane is a delicious spreadable cheese, and it is traditional to eat dairy products on the holiday of Shavuot.

For this project you will need:

32 oz container of plain whole millk Greek Yogurt

Salt

a linen or muslin towel or several cheesecloths

To serve your labane, you may want:

olive oil to drizzle on top

Za'atar or chopped fresh herbs

pita bread (warm is nice!)

sliced veggies to dip
