Events & Updates 4/24

Shabbat & Song Share 4/24 at 6:30 Celebrate Shabbat and the month of Iyar with candle lighting, lots of singing, kiddush and motzi. Emily and Kris will start with a few songs, and then open it up for others to share a song. Feel free to share a song that’s resonant for you, whether or not it’s music we usually sing at Malkhut. If you want to share a song with lyrics, just come prepared to paste the lyrics (or a link to a document with the lyrics) in the zoom chat bar.If you're able to, you might want to dress for Shabbos, and have candles and matches, a kiddush cup and wine or grape juice, and challah nearby.

Judaism and Justice Text Study Saturday 4/25 at 1:30 Deva Estin will lead us in unpacking the week's Torah portion through the lens of social justice. Email Deva for details.
Counting the Omer: Emily Herzlin, a Malkhut leader and gifted teacher of mindfulness meditation, is generously sharing last year's weekly resource to guide us on the journey of the Omer period - the days between Passover and Shavuot. This week we are cultivating This week we are cultivating Tiferet--balance or harmony. Things may feel extremely out of balance right now. How can I be compassionate towards that, AND set an intention to bring balance wherever possible into my heart, mind, and body? Head here for the full Omer teaching for this week.
We have a terrific bunch of people who have volunteered to help facilitate our new small groups that meet online once a week or so. Some will focus on a specific theme (study, social justice, parents with babies) and others will be geared towards more informal schmoozing.  If you'd like to be matched up with a group, please fill out this form.
Tell us how else you'd like to stay connected! How do you want to stay in touch with the Malkhut community during this crisis? What kinds of remote programming would you like to see? Please share your thoughts by taking this brief survey.
