Social Justice

JFREJ Seder in the Streets
At Malkhut, we believe that our liberation is bound up with the liberation of all people from oppression and suffering. We see Malkhut not only as a goad to increase the activism within our community but as a spiritual home and source of sustenance for activists to refuel, reflect, and connect their work to Jewish values and teachings.

We partner with Jews for Racial and Economic Justice (JFREJ), Hate Free Zones and other groups as we fight racism, anti-Semitism and Islamophobia and work on racial and economic justice, immigration issues, and other justice issues that affect our community here in Queens.

Rabbi Goldenberg also writes and teaches about the intersection of mindfulness and social justice through her teachings on Shabbat. And a monthly Shabbat afternoon Judaism and Justice Torah study group meets in Jackson Heights
