Marcia Bordman (Bubbe)

Mitzvah Project

For my Mitzvah Project, I collected linens and made pet beds to donate to animal shelters around New York City. More specifically, I  collected donations of used sheets, towels, and linens from people in Malkhut and Jackson Heights, which I then donated to the ACC Centers in Manhattan and Queens. I also used these donations to make pet beds for the animals of these shelters. These beds were made from pillowcases and stuffed with batting, sewn, and quilted on a sewing machine. By donating linens and creating beds for these shelters I was able to directly help improve the lives of these animals and also help the ACC shelters get things they need to help these animals.
