Song and music are an essential piece of Malkhut. The prayers and songs that we sing are such a meaningful and important part of time spent together. Once a month, Music Director Kris Wettstein leads a song circle to enjoy the spiritual practice of singing, to learn new songs, and to become more comfortable with Malkhut's repertoire of music. Everyone is welcome to come and hang out, sing, listen or play an instrument. No prior experience or expertise or excellence or even in-tune-ness needed. Just let Kris know if you or someone in your family is going to be bringing an instrument so that he can bring appropriate supports (email kris@malkhutqueens.org). All ages welcome! We will have a Malkhut teen on hand to keep their eye on little ones.

Please note: attendance at home-hosted events are reserved for people who have been to at least one Malkhut event previously, or have been referred directly by someone who is already part of the Malkhut community. Feel free to email shalom@malkhutqueens.org with any questions about this policy.

When: Generally on the first or second Sunday of the month, please see below for upcoming dates. You may attend in person or on Zoom.

Where: Sunnyside or Jackson Heights (see below), exact address will be sent to you the days before the gathering. 

Zoom: link will be sent to you before the gathering.

Health Information: Please do not come if you've had exposure or symptoms of any illnesses. Covid safety/protocols will be determined closer to the event. Masking may or may not be required.

Accessibility Information: 

• Sunnyside location: The front door is about 7 steps up from the sidewalk. There's a bathroom on the first floor, but the doorway into it is narrow.

• Jackson Hights location: a handful stairs to get into the home. The bathroom is down a flight of stairs, and is not wheelchair/ADA accessible.
