Join us on June 20, 2026 to celebrate!
Details:
During these times of rising authoritarianism and so much uncertainty, it is more important than ever to practice hakarat ha-tov, recognizing and rejoicing in what is good. Our 10th anniversary only happens once, so we are going to CELEBRATE this milestone in a BIG way!!!
Join us in LIC as we gather in Renew Queens’ large space. We’ll start with an intergenerational Shabbat morning service led by Rabbi G., Student Rabbi Emily Herzlin, Music Director Kris Wettstein, and a bimah overflowing with singers and musicians, young and old. Rabbi G. will tell the story of how Malkhut came to be, and we’ll celebrate each other with group aliyot during the Torah service. After services we’ll enjoy an epic potluck lunch with dishes pulled from our community cookbook, screen a video created by Jess Levey, and we’ll share our own Malkhut stories, guided by master story-crafters Sara Zatz and C. Meranda Flachs-Surmanek. The day would not be complete without dancing the hora. And the rest of the afternoon will be filled with dessert, schmoozing, and creative activities designed to capture our Malkhut memories and inspire our vision for what’s ahead.
Portions of the day will be livestreamed on Zoom. Childcare will be available during the Torah service. A separate teen space and quiet sensory space will be available in the afternoon.
May the joy we generate fuel the next 10 years of this beautiful and beloved community!
