Join us for one of the following gatherings this Tu b'Shevat season:
Malkhut & Me in LIC:
Saturday, February 8, 11:30am - 12:45pm in LIC
Malkhut & Me in LIC is our program for kids from birth through age 5 along with their grownups. Join us to learn about Tu b'Shevat through music and movement, while singing and playing together with instruments, scarves, and puppets. We will bless our kids under the tallit, and say Kiddush and Motzi, then have time to shmooze and connect with other families over a potluck tree fruit snack, co-hosted by the Astoria P.J. Library Parent Connector, in honor of Tu b'Shevat (please bring tree fruits to share).

A Tu b'Shevat Afternoon of Mindfulness and Blessings for adults:
Saturday, February 8, 1 - 2:15pm in LIC
As we prepare for Tu b'Shvat, the new year for trees, we will gather on Shabbat afternoon to learn about the symbolism of trees in the Jewish tradition, practice embodied meditation on the compassion and strength of trees, create and share our own blessings or poems for the trees in our lives and in our world, and enjoy a delicious potluck of tree fruits. This gathering is led by Student Rabbi Emily Herzlin.

Intergenerational Tu b'Shevat Seder:
Sunday, February 9, 2pm in Jackson Heights
Join Rabbi G. on the spiritual journey from the hard outer covering of winter to the warm sweetness of emergence into spring through the mystical practice of the Tu b'Shevat seder. We'll eat fruits and nuts and juice and wine that represent the stages of this journey as we celebrate the birthday of the trees.

Malkhut Mishpacha Diasporist Tu b'Shevat Seder for adults:
Wednesday, February 12, 7pm in Sunnyside
Join Annie and Lilla for a Diasporist, mystical Tu b'Shevat seder that's enamored of science. Tu b'Shevat is a celebration of the rising of the sap inside trees, which is happening outside our doors right now. The mystical dimension of the holiday can be enacted as a seder, a journey through four spiritual worlds, whose names might be translated as action, formation, thought, and spirit. This event has reached capacity and registration has been closed.
Tu b'Shevat Tree Walk for families:
Thursday, February 13, 4:15 - 5pm in Astoria
Join Malkhut Music Director Kris Wettstein—and his toddler—for an extremely low key amble to clean up and aerate some trees in Western Astoria... and possibly serenade them, who knows. Click HERE for more information and to register.
